The Nashville Predators were finally able to win a game in the shootout. It took four attempts, but they finally did, this time on the Los Angeles Kings. It took eight shooters each side to score. Pekka Rinne came up big when he had to. Sergei Kostitsyn was the shootout game winner dekeing Jonathan Quick out of position. Brandon Yip and Dustin Brown had the lone goals of the game, both in the first period. In between the Brown goal and 6:00 remaining in the 3rd, the game was pretty boring.  Yip's goal was pretty sweet as he went bar down on Quick 58 seconds in. The way to score on Quick entering the game was to shoot high, and he did so. Rinne went back to the Reebok Premier 4 pads that he used last season. Rinne previously wore the new CCM RBZ pads. The Finnish goaltender is very superstitious as last season, he switched to his old helmet and played much better after the change. Rinne played well tonight, but just doesn't seem the same yet. Ray Harris will have your recap in the morning.  Good night everyone!
