Found November 03, 2011 on Taking Bad Schotz:

Rashaun Woods is from Oklahoma City, and played college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The 6-2 202 pound receiver caught touchdowns like he was Justin Blackmon. His Sophomore year he has 80 receptions for 1,023 yards and 10 touchdowns. In Woods’ Junior year he made the All-American Team, the dude had 1,695 yards off of 107 receptions, and caught 17 touchdowns. He couldn’t top his amazing previous season his Senior year, but he still managed to catch 15 touchdowns.

The San Francisco 49ers drafted Rashaun Woods 31st overall in the 2004 NFL Draft. Woods joined receiving core alongside Brandon Lloyd, Arnaz Battle, Curtis Walker, and Cedric Wilson with Tim Rattay and Ken Dorsey at quarterback. Consequently Woods had 7 receptions for 160 yards and 1 touchdown. The next season he sat out with torn ligaments in his thumb, and then was traded in 2006 to the Chargers for cornerback Sammy Davis. Later that year he was cut, and then claimed by the Broncos…but then failed his physical.

Rashaun found opportunity in NFL Europa with Hamburg Sea Devils in 2007. But later that year he went to the Canadian Football League to play for the Toronto Argonauts and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

I wonder what would have happened to Rashaun Woods if the dusty 49ers didn’t draft him in 2004.
