PLAYERS:
Raphael Assuncao
How much of a savage is Raphael Assuncao? The bantamweight fought for over 10 minutes with a broken right arm in Saturday’s decision win over Mike Easton. Oh, and that’s not even the half of it.
Assuncao mistook his cracked limb for a muscle spasm. Yeah, because they’re the same…
“Broke my arm in the first round ! Thought it was a muscle spasm at first but was broke…no excuse lets keep the improvements + recovery on,” Assuncao wrote on his Facebook page accompanied with the above X-ray.
I’m not sure what he’s referring to as an “excuse.” Assuncao was more than a 2-to-1 underdog and still won with a busted arm.
Saturday’s victory marked Assuncao’s fourth straight inside the Octagon.
No word on how long the Brazilian will be forced to ride the pine.
UFC on FOX 5 took place in Key Arena in Seattle.
