This Given Sunday:
The Baltimore Ravens lost to the red-hot Redskins and rookie sensation Robert Griffin III after failing to protect a late game lead against Washington's other rookie sensation, Kirk Cousins. So, what do they do? Fire offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, of course.
Cameron has been under fire for years for unimaginative offenses and under-using RB Ray Rice. The Ravens, a rare three-point underdog for its visit to FedEx Field, built a 21-14 half-time lead and an eight-point advantage with 4:47 to go.
Baltimore's defense allowed Washington a 13-play, 4:18 drive for a score and the tying two-point conversion. The Ravens twice knocked Robert Griffin III out of the game in the same drive (I didn't know knee joints could flex that way.) while also drawing an intentional grounding penalty.
Rookie Kirk Cousins was clutch completing two of two official pass attempts. His real first attempt drew a pass interference penalty good for a first down. Then the Redskins...
BEST OF MAXIM
After years of being under fire, the Ravens have relieved offensive Cam Cameron of his duties. This seems to have been building for years.
To take Cameron’s place on the staff, the Ravens have elevated quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell to offensive coordinator. Caldwell was brought on this past offseason after a stint as Colts head coach.
Of the coaching move, John Harbaugh had this...
Quite a newsworthy day for the Ravens. Earlier I wrote about Cam Cameron being fired by the team with Jim Caldwell being elevated to offensive coordinator for the rest of the season.

With the Washington Redskins trailing the Baltimore Ravens by eight late in regulation, Robert Griffin III sprained his right knee at the end of a 13-yard scramble. He left for one play, returned for four but was literally hopping around on the field.
Eventually, he fell to the turf and could no longer continue.
Fellow rookie Kirk Cousins stepped in and finished RG3's work...
Time to break out more superlatives. Robert Griffin III is about to play another game.
''He's unbelievable. He's back there, he makes more plays than anyone you've been around. He changes the game.''
Ah, but there's a catch. While it certainly sounds like a defensive player getting ready to face RG3, it's actually Washington Redskins offensive...
