STARKVILLE, Miss. - At his introductory press conference on Monday, new Mississippi State coach Rick Ray said he'd like to retain a member of the former staff. On Thursday, he did just that with the announcement George Brooks will return as an assistant coach.
Vanderbilt (12-17, 3-6) will face the Mississippi State Bulldogs (18-11, 3-6) at Dudy Noble Field this weekend. So far this season State has taken a win against the top three teams in the West. The Dogs snared a victory at home against Arkansas and on the road at LSU and Auburn which puts their SEC record even with Vandy and South Carolina at 3-6.
