Tampa Bay Rays starter Alex Cobb has been stretchered off during their contest with the Kansas City Royals after being hit in the head by a hard line drive from Eric Hosmer. The incident happened in the top of the fifth inning, with the ball appearing to hit Cobb directly in the side of the head at great speed. #Rays Cobb being taken off field thru home plate tunnel on stretcher. The incident comes after similarly scary moments for Brandon McCarthy, during the 2012 season, and J.A. Happ, both struck hard in the head by similar line drives.
