The Minnesota Golden Gophers secured a verbal commitment from 4-star wide receiver Andre McDonald (Minnetonka, MN) on Thursday night, which now gives head coach Jerry Kill, who will be entering his second season as head coach in 2012, a total of three 4-star prospects in this year's recruiting class. The Hopkins High School standout knew he wanted to stay home and be a part of Kill's rebuilding process at Minnesota after an in-home visit from the Golden Gophers' coaching staff on Wednesday night, however he chose not to go public with his decision until the following day. "Right as the coaches were about to leave, Coach Kill told me that when I was ready to make my decision to let them know as soon as possible," McDonald said.
