Redleg Nation Minor League Players of the Month - June 2009

Hitter of the Month: In the month of June, Danny Dorn hit .338/.375/.649 with 5 homeruns and 15 rbis for the Louisville Bats.  In 22 games played, Dorn recorded 74 at-bats, scoring 13 runs, hitting 6 doubles, and walked 5 times while striking out 12 times.  On the season, Dorn is now batting .253/.310/.454 with 11 homeruns and 29 rbis. Also receiving consideration this month were Zack Cozart and Kevin Barker . Pitcher of the Month: The vote for Pitcher of the Month was unanimous from the editors here at Redleg Nation.  In 5 starts, Homer Bailey went 4-0 with a 0.47 ERA in Louisville in June to capture the honor.  In 38.1 innings at Louisville, Bailey allowed just 37 base runners, waking 7 while striking out 38.  He allowed just 2 runs in 5 starts and opponents hit .214 against him for the month.
