The Washington Redskins announced that they have signed free agent offensive tackle James Lee to an undisclosed contract. Undrafted out of South Carolina State in 2008, Lee originally signed with the Cleveland Browns before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Lee appeared in just one game his first two seasons in Tampa before starting nine of 15 games in 2010. In 2011, Lee started one of three games, but logged just a dozen snaps on offense and about the same on special teams. Lee adds depth at the right tackle position, where the Redskins currently have Jammal Brown and Tyler Polumbus playing opposite 2010 first round pick Trent Williams, Lee can play inside at either guard spots and could be a versatile backup for the Redskins.
