Reid With Yet Another Cryptic Message To Vick.

Posted October 16, 2012
Andy Reid: I Alone Fired Castillo, more changes to come

[Eagles coach Andy Reid was vehement today that he alone made the decision to replace Juan Castillo as defensive coordinator, that saving his own job was not part of his thought process, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.

Reid also hinted at other pending changes. Asked about turnover-plagued quarterback Michael Vick, Reid repeated what he'd said a day earlier about Castillo, that Vick was the starter "as I sit here right now" -- even though Reid happened to be standing behind a lectern -- but he said he would continue to evaluate all phases of the operation during the team's bye week.

"I'm going through and evaluating our football team, both coaches and players. This is one of the moves. We'll see where this goes from here," said Reid, who said firing his loyal assistant of 14 years was "one of the tougher things I've had to do."]

Once again in so many day Andy Reid has sent a not so subtle public message to his quarterback and now he's NOT retracting his statements. I never thought Reid would have the stones to make this move, but the bottom line is someone has to take the fall for an offense that this terrible. Someone is going to have to take the fall for this offense. It will be Marty or it will be Mike. My guess is Mike.
