And you thought the Brian Waters saga would end when the regular season started without the lineman in New England. Think again. Waters and the Patriots were working on a deal in recent weeks to get the lineman back on the team, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. That possibility is now moot, however, considering the deadline has passed for players to return. Friday was deadline for teams to take players off the Did-Not-Report List if they are going to play this year. So no Brian Waters in NE.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) December 02, 2012 Waters, 35, was at the center of much speculation throughout training camp and the beginning of the season, with the Patriots apparently letting him stay home with his family in Texas a bit longer before Water abruptly decided he wasn’t going to return to the team at all. Reports also surfaced of a possible contract renegotiation after Waters signed a two-year, $3 million deal last season.

Patriots Win 4th Straight AFC East Title, 10th since 2000.

That headline speaks volumes about the domination the New England Patriots have within their division.  While they have run wild in the AFC East in the Belichick era and have an unbelievable division record of 60-19 in that span sometimes the individual games don’t always come that easy. And that was the case once again in Miami in December.  They should move Halloween to...

And so is Julian Edelman.Patriots inactives: Gronk, Mankins, Jones, Shiancoe, Petrus, Develin...

Running and Stopping the Run key for Patriots victory

Jeff Howe's column in the Boston Herald this morning points out something very interesting about the Dolphins. They may be ranked seventh in the NFL against the run, but that doesn't tell the whole story. The Dolphins were excellent against the run in their first five games, and that’s why their place in the season-long pecking order is so high. They allowed 61.4 rushing...
