It’s a tough year to have the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft. There’s no consensus best player at most of the premier positions, and there’s little difference in talent between the No. 1 player and the No. 25 player.
That’s why the Chiefs have a tough decision to make at No. 1. Kansas City has narrowed their choices down to West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith, Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner, Texas A&M tackle Luke Joeckel, Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, Oklahoma tackle Lane Johnson and Central Michigan tackle Eric Fisher, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. The Chiefs have already worked out Joeckel, Floyd, Johnson and Fisher, and they plan on working out Smith and Milliner, according to Rapoport.
Many assume the Chiefs’ interest in Smith is a smokescreen to try to get another team interested in the former Mountaineer to trade up. Kansas City is “fascinated by Geno Smith, comparing him to a young [Donovan] McNabb. They love how he throws. Need to study deeper,” accordin...

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, some Chiefs’ scouts have told him that they’re “fascinated” by former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith.

Ah, the NFL Draft season. All NFL teams and their front office’s lie, it just gets worse everytime the calendar flips to the month of April. Just when you though Alex Smith’s exportation process from the San Francisco 49ers to the Kansas City Chiefs was going to go off without even a subliminal diss, comes well…a subliminal diss.
Wide receiver Michael Crabtree has always been a step-and-a-half shy of becoming a truly polarizing figure.

A lot has changed since we last mocked the draft. In fact, only hours after we went out on a limb and gave Geno Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs, Alex Smith was traded to Andy Reid's new team and our mock draft was already even more flawed than it was in the first place.
With the brunt of free agency out of the way, here's how we see the top 10 picks unfolding now.....
ESPN’s Mel Kiper has long been looked at as the guru of NFL mock drafts. A look at his big board has some similarities to that of CFU’s, but also some big differences. Todd McShay of ESPN and Scouts Inc. has Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel as the top-rated player, like CFU. But Kiper went with Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, who McShay has second and...
The Chiefs are expected to take offensive tackle Luke Joeckel with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, but it appears they are not set on taking the Texas A&M product.
Kansas City held a private workout with defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd on Monday at the University of Florida, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. Floyd is expected to go in the top half of the first...
