Jay-Z stays winning…
Yahoo has reported that Jay-Z is in hot pursuit of Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig.
According to reports the rapper/agent took a mid June trip to LA where he invited Puig to a club that he owns, and they had a meeting in which Puig left ‘intrigued’.
Puig has spoken with at least one more agency, but the prospect of being the latest Roc Nation pickup is very possible. Jay-Z is also pursing A’s slugger Yoenis Cespedes, too.
If Puig were to sign to Roc Nation, his current agent Jaime Torres would still receive a full commission on a 7-year $42 million deal signed in June.

2) Puig can do … things blindfolded.
3) Puig can...

Yasiel Puig has captivated baseball since making his major league debut on June 3. He went 2-for-4 in his debut and threw out a runner to end the game, clubbed two home runs the next game, and had four home runs and 10 RBIs in his first five games with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Though [...]

I don’t often write these sort of unfocused think-pieces. (Well, I happen to think that I don’t, but many of my commenters undoubtedly disagree.) Anyway, I’m thinking about Yasiel Puig today. After an impressive, intensely hyped first month, the Dodger wunderkind lost to Freddie Freeman in the fans’ vote for the All-Star Game. (Of course, with injury replacements and so on...
