Found January 18, 2013 on Fox Sports Southwest:
PLAYERS: Johnny Manziel
Johnny Manziel got a speeding ticket in Ennis, Texas recently. This in itself is not a news story. But when a judge in Ennis goes on Facebook and taunts the Texas A&M quarterback, to going so far as to reveal he, a judge, has already decided Manziel was guilty, and made the mistake of having to add an extra comment that said "allegedly," and it turns out the judge in question happens to have graduated from Baylor ... well, then you have a news story. As aggiesports.com reported Thursday, Ennis judge Lee Johnson posted the following on Facebook: "Too funny. So it seems a certain unnamed (very) recent Heisman Trophy winner from a certain unnamed 'college' down south of here got a gift from the Ennis P.D. while he was speeding on the 287 bypass yesterday. It appears that even though the OU defense couldn't stop him, the City of Ennis P.D. is a different story altogether. Time to grow upslow down young 'un. You got your whole lifecareer ahead of you. Gig Em indeed." He then added a new comment: "I mean to say 'allegedly speeding,' my bad." Now, Johnson doesn't use Manziel's name in any of that, but identified him in practically every other way known to a normal person. Given that in America we are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and Johnson is a judge in the town where Manziel was cited for speeding, this appears to be a significant breach of judicial objectivity.

Mike Stoops backtracks on Manziel comments

Oklahoma Sooners defensive coordinator Mike Stoops had some pretty telling comments about Johnny Manziel after he won the Heisman Trophy. “They’re gonna be tough to deal with. If they can keep him out of jail or keep him eligible, he’s gonna be pretty good,” Stoops said. “If they can keep him off the Twitter, he might win three or four Heismans. He’ll have that type...

Judge posts on Facebook about a speeding ticket for "certain unnamed (very) recent Heisman Trophy winner."

What’s a week in January 2013 without talking about the activities of one Johnny Manziel? A municipal judge in Ennis, Texas, the dishonorable Lee Johnson, apparently tattled on the Texas A&M Aggies star quarterback. He didn’t tip of a newspaper, a TV station, or ESPN, no, he went on Facebook and gave what can only be described as a not so cryptic message. For what it is worth...

Manziel: Nobody talked about lifestyle change

Johnny Football is going to keep being Johnny Football. Johnny Manziel said that nobody from Texas A&M has talked to him about changing his lifestyle, which has seen the Heisman Trophy winner tweet pictures of himself with handfuls of cash at an Oklahoma Casino, sitting courtside at various NBA games and holding a bottle of champagne with a sparkler hanging out of his mouth...

Te'o girlfriend hoax stuns Manziel

Texas A&M Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel says his ''mind was blown'' when he learned of the Manti Te'o girlfriend hoax. Manziel has gotten to know Te'o, Notre Dame's Heisman runner-up, while attending various award ceremonies over the last month and a half. The pair spent time together this weekend at the Walter Camp Awards dinner. Manziel...

Rece Davis Totally Jealous Over Johnny Manziel’s Sweet Swag

Is there anything else ESPN wants Johnny Manziel to prove? The guy can even provide color commentary before a Texas A&M basketball game. What did Manziel have to say. No idea. We don’t watch Thursday night college basketball in January. Rules are rules. As for the game, Florida thumped the Aggies, 68-47. We’ll assume Johnny left early for a College Station power hour. (via...

Texas A&M Ranked No. 1 By CBS Sports in Early Preseason College Football Power Rankings

It’s never too early to prognosticate in the world of sports, so it should surprise nobody that CBS Sports has released its first set of preseason power rankings for the 2013 college football season just over a week after the 2012 campaign’s conclusion. What may surprise some, however, is the team that sits atop these rankings. The Aggies of Texas A&M, fresh off a Heisman...
