Before what will be one of the biggest games of the year for Ohio State, rumors are swirling that the Buckeyes will be wearing alternate uniforms against Wisconsin.
According to a source, Ohio State will be wearing its chrome uniform, worn vs Michigan last season, this Saturday vs. Wisconsin. #Buckeyes.

The rumors began last night when Buckeye Room, an Ohio State apparel store in Columbus, posted the uniform on its site. Ohio State football graphic designer Samuel Silverman also tweeted out a picture that shows the alternate uniforms for Saturday night’s game.

Saturday’s game may just be the beginning when it comes to alternate uniforms, however. A Nike representative told Ohio State beat reporter Ben Axelrod that more may be on the way:
Just talked to a Nike sales rep. Said Ohio State is wearing its red Rivalry jersey for two home games this year, & a white one for Michigan.

The uniforms appear to be very similar to the alternates that the Buckeyes wore against Michigan last year. The two main differences I notice are the neckline logo — changed from a block ‘O’ to the official Ohio State logo — and the numbers — instead of being white with gray outline, they are gray with a white outline.
Personally, I love the alternate uniforms. If the rumors are true, hopefully the football team will like them as well.
