Former Penn State linebacker Brandon Short reported on ESPN Wednesday - via “two independent sources” cited by the ex-Nittany Lion linebacker - that Jerry Sandusky was inside the luxury box of then-Penn State President Graham Spanier for the Oct. 29, 2011, football game between Penn State and Illinois at Beaver Stadium. Short also noted that members of the Penn State Board of Trustees were in then-President Spanier’s box at the time Sandusky was there. Further, Short cited a source in noting that Spanier, who has since stepped down as PSU President, briefed members of the school’s Board of Trustees on the Grand Jury investigation of Sandusky in New York in March, 2011. An official meeting of the Penn State Board of Trustees was held in New York City’s Helmsley Hotel on March 18, 2011.
