The Houston Chronicle’s John McClain is reporting that the Houston Texans will not be using the Franchise tag for the 2013 season. Reports were surfacing that free agent safety Glover Quin would be getting the tag, but that was all for not.
The Texans are currently $7.6 million under the salary cap for the opening of the 2013 free agency period which opens up on March 12th.
