According to Rotoworld.com, ESPN’s Ed Werder reported on NFL Live that there’s “very little doubt” that Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will be ready for their season opener.
hursday was the first day of Redskins camp. RG3 took part in 7-on-7, but no team drills. Jim Corbett of USA Today was also at the practice, and observed that Griffin “look(ed) explosive” on one read-option keeper, resulting in a “roar” from fans in attendance. Corbett said RG3 was “cutting fine” on the knee.
I would be shocked if Griffin isn’t ready for their opener against the Eagles.

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has been
cleared by the team to return to practice. However, that doesn’t mean
Washington is willing to put him at risk during exhibition contests where there
will be real and uncontrolled contact. Griffin confirmed yesterday that the
Redskins plan to sit him for the entirety of the preseason, according to Dan Hanzus of NFL.com...
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III spoke with the media today as the Skins get ready to kick off training camp. He stated he could possibly play in their third preseason game, but needs to be patient. RGIII says he would be capable of playing in the preseason in the third game if he's ready, but at the same time, he's not worried about it. — Mike Jones...
News hit yesterday that while Robert Griffin III has been cleared for practice, we’re unlikely to see him in any preseason action, meaning the first time he steps on the field may be in week one of the regular season.
That got me wondering; how important is preseason action?
Well, that all depends on who you are and what you’re trying to accomplish. For our example, we’ll...
Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan spoke with the media on the first full day of camp. On the plan for quarterback Robert Griffin III during camp: “Initially, what we’re going to do is what we did today. We had thirty minutes of individual work and we had different types of individual work, as you [...]
Robert Griffin III found a way to get involved on the first day of the Washington Redskins' training camp, even when he was supposed to be a spectator.
Barred from the main 11-on-11 drills, Griffin nevertheless started chasing linebacker Bryan Kehl after Kehl intercepted a pass from just-for-now starter Kirk Cousins.
When the ball popped loose, Griffin scooped it up the fumble...
You’re head is next Juan…
Robert Griffin III is already a legend. The Redskins fans love them RG3. Check out this father son duo at Skins training camp sporting similar buzz cuts with a Super Bowl trophy shaved in their heads. I’m not sure how I feel about hair artistry, but I hope at the very least it earned them an autograph and a pic.
RG3 and Dan Snyder Double Team a Female...
Let’s get something straight. . .Robert Griffin III is still recovering from major offseason knee surgery and probably won’t play in any preseason games. Percy Harvin does have a serious concern about his hip and is heading to New York to see a doctor about it, and there are definitely reasons to be concerned in Tampa about Darrelle Revis coming off of knee surgery himself. Those...
I may be going out on a limb here, but Robert Griffin III will be the one sophomore quarterback who does not hit the proverbial wall. I see big things for him IF he has learned from his mistakes.I don't hold out much hope for the rest of 2012's rookie class. While we will focus on the top three QBs in this group, it is sufficient to say that none of the others, including...
Robert Griffin III throws `em smiles. Pierre Garcon throws `em footballs.
While just the merest glance or wave from RG3 toward a fan can elicit Beatles-era screams of glee at Washington Redskins training camp, his top receiver goes one better. Several times over the first two days of camp, Garcon has caught a pass downfield and tossed the ball into the crowd.
If it were a game...
Fans of the Washington Redskins got a good piece of news when their quarterback, Robert Griffin III, was recently cleared to practice. That brought up another problem though–when is he going to actually play next? It would be great to see him play a couple series a game during the preseason; enough to get fans eager for more and really looking
