Alfred Morris went from unknown rookie last summer, to being on the brink of being one of the premiere running backs in the NFC.
Morris is coming off a rookie season in which he rushed for a Redskins’ single-season rushing record of 1,613 yards. Morris is hell-bent on not falling off, and told the Washington Post “he wants to prove last year was no fluke.”
Even though Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall returned to practice on Monday after spraining his ankle last week, he will not play in this week’s preseason game against the Titans, per Mike Jones of the Washington Post.
This isn’t a surprise at all. Hall is still not 100 percent healthy and he needs to make sure he’s ready for the regular season.

Apparently it was raining in Richmond today, which is one explanation for why Redskins owner Dan Snyder looked like this:
The oversized shirt and shorts combo is something to behold, but ill-fitting clothes are not new for Mr. Snyder. Scroll down to see what I mean …
Here he is, with RGIII two weeks ago, wearing an overlong Skins polo:
Back in March, it was an oversized buttonup...
Redskins Training Camp Videos Tuesday’s practice sessions were changed a bit due to the weather as the morning’s practice was moved indoors, but the afternoon session went on without a hitch. The Redskins didn’t go through 7 on 7′s so there was really no RG3 highlights or things worth mentioning…to read a breakdown of this [...]
"I mean, that’s baseball. But boy, we needed that one." (Davey Johnson, via Washington Times, 8/6/2013)
Braves 3, Nationals 2: Goodbye, NL East Crown! Rinse, wash, repeat. Death, taxes, blown chances, and no run support for Stephen Strasburg.
At this hour, Justiin Upton is still standing near home plate admiring his 8th inning bomb off Tyler Clippard.
Redskins training camp wasn’t quite as packed on Monday as it was at Fan Appreciation day on Saturday, but the action was still good on the field. If you had asked me which player would be one of the brighest spots on the Nationals season, I probably would have listed a couple dozen players before I came to Ross Ohlendorf's name. None the less, the pitcher known as "Dorf" has filled many roles for the Nats this season, including long reliever and spot starter. He's posted an awesome 1.85 ERA and 2.89 FIP this...
Robert Griffin III says he's ''ready to move on'' and take a bigger role in practice as he works his way back from knee surgery.
The Washington Redskins quarterback said Monday he's had no soreness or swelling in his right knee during the first week-and-a-half of training camp.
Coach Mike Shanahan has limited Griffin to 7-on-7 drills during camp, keeping...
The main concern of the Washington Redskins is quarterback
Robert Griffin III’s surgically-repaired right knee. So far, the knee hasn’t
been cause for concern, as the signal caller made it through his first week of
practice without suffering a setback. With the successful first week under
Griffin’s belt, head coach Mike Shanahan told Tarik El-Bashir of The Washington
Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth exited yesterday’s
win over the Milwaukee Brewers with a groin injury, and manager Davey Johnson
told reporters – including Bill Ladson of MLB.com – that the slugger is
unlikely to suit up for today’s weekend finale.
While Werth is likely to be out of today’s lineup, Johnson
said he hopes to have the outfielder back...
Tweet Currently in the seventh inning, the Atlanta Braves are leading the Washington Nationals 2-1, which in itself doesn’t sound too exciting. But that hasn’t been the case. Washington’s lone run came via a Bryce Harper home run in the third inning, which was followed by this. In the fifth inning, this happened. This […]
Tweet Long-time NFL fans probably remember the name Gary Clark. He spent eight of his eleven seasons with the Washington Redskins. While with them Clark won two Super Bowls and was a four-time Pro Bowl selection. He ranks third in franchise history in receptions (549), third in receiving yards (8,742), and tied for fourth […]
In this day and age, maybe it figures that a good ol' fashioned baseball brawl would take place in the Twitterverse instead of on the diamond.
The official Twitter feeds of the Braves and Nationals mixed it up a bit Tuesday night, shortly after players from both teams spilled out of the dugouts and bullpens - but no punches were thrown - when Atlanta's Julio Teheran hit...
The 2013 Washington Nationals (54-59) have seemed to lack the on-field passion they played with in 2012. On Tuesday night, the Atlanta Braves (69-45) nearly inspired some of that fabled Natitude, with a benches-clearing incident in the fifth inning. But, the Nationals’ fire was soon extinguished, and they fell to the Braves, 2-1.
In the third inning, Bryce Harper crushed the...
The Washington Nationals (54-57) watched a three-run lead slip away on Sunday, as the Milwaukee Brewers (47-64) rallied to beat them, 8-5, and deny them the series sweep.
A five-run sixth inning to come from behind was the turning point for the Brewers, and despite five strong innings from Taylor Jordan, and home runs from Anthony Rendon and Adam LaRoche, the Nationals...
