If RG3, or RGIII had been fully healthy on Sunday versus the Chicago Bears, he would have likely run for 250 yards. If he wanted to. That’s how good Robert Griffin III is when he’s at 100%. He’s still not there yet. However, if you attempt the rush the ball n the NFL versus Shea McClellin, you really should be able to put up big numbers. The Bears D Line is what will heal you help really good. RGIII made huge strides this week. “His knee is stronger,” CBS Sports talking head Steve Beuerlein said. “He’s almost halfway through the season. And as we’ve said all along, he’s going to get stronger as the season goes, barring a setback. He’s still rehabbing that knee. But boy, when he got out on the edge yesterday both throwing the ball and running the ball – and he ran the ball very well yesterday – he looked like RGIII of last year many times yesterday. I was impressed with the game plan. I was impressed with his confidence. He actually came out and said for the first time he went in there actually believing that he could do the things he did last year. So very good to see. Very encouraging for RGIII.” So maybe he’s not yet RGIII, but instead RG 2.5, maybe RG 2.7. Now that he beat the Bears yesterday, he needs just one more win on the season to equal the number of generations in his name. CBS analyst Rich Gannon on RGIII “He has to play that style of football – carefree, reckless and aggressive. We didn’t see that from him during the first couple of weeks. It’s good to see that. It’s also good to see them get their running game going a little bit yesterday with Roy Helu and Alfred Morris. When they’re doing that, the big plays seem to come off of it. But it’s good to see RGIII playing like we saw him late last year when he was healthy and really rolling.” Paul M. Banks is the owner of The Sports Bank.net, an affiliate of Fox Sports.
