Going into last night’s game the Wizards were the only team in the NBA without a road win. Obviously not surprising when you consider the fact that they had only won two games all year. The Wizards pulled out an ugly and hard fought win last night against the New Orleans Pelicans To Be. The sparse crowd in Nawlin’s must’ve made the Wizards feel like they were at home, although they’ve only won two games at the Booth. Even with the return of #1 overall pick Anthony ‘The Brow’ Davis, New Orleans couldn’t stop the Steez. Not the classic Gangstarr track, but Jordan ‘Steez’ Crawford, who finished with a season high 26 points. Those 26 points weren’t just a season high for Jordan, it was a season high for any Wizards player all year.. Now before we get all giddy about the 26 point performance, consider that it came on 9-24 shooting. But of course, when your team is as offensively deficient as the Wizards are, you’re going to take points however you can. Nene struggled from the field but still finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds. A progressing Bradley Beal looked good, dropping 15 points and adding seven rebounds and four assists. All that said, the biggest contributor to the ‘Zards win was the Hornets Ryan Anderson. The Wizards trailed 42-36 and were on the way to their ninth road loss when Anderson inexplicably went ICE COLD. I’m talking blindfolded Jannero Pargo in Antarctica cold. The NBA's reigning leader in three pointers made went 0-8 from the field in the second half including 0-7 from the beyond the arc. And most of the shots were pretty much uncontested. The scoring problems cannot plague the Wizards in Houston tonight because the Rockets have no problems scoring. An added plotline, Wizards fan are still buzzing about the rumors of the failed attempt to acquire James Harden for Bradley Beal and Jordan Crawford. Although the Wizards have refuted the seriousness of the trade talks, Wiz fans have been outraged that the brain trust missed out on a potential superstar.. and Harden has looked every bit the superstar this season. averaging 24 points per game.  The Wizards do seem to play either up or down to their competition and the Rockets are on a three game losing streak. Hopefully Bradley Beal and Chris Singleton feel slighted that their names were bandied about in trade talks and take it out on the Rockets.
