In case you have been holed up in a bunker for the last couple hours, a Hollywood star has decided that he will start breaking news from the sports world. Rob Lowe earlier today tweeted the following:

“Hearing my fave, #18 Peyton Manning will not return to #NFL. Wow. #Colts”

I hope I am just as curious as all of you out there as to who his “sources” are. And, if this truly was the case, would we not hear it first from team owner Jim Irsay? After all, Irsay has a twitter account as well.

I’m not sure when members of the Hollywood community decided to take up breaking news stories, well outside the dumb stuff they do, but I can’t take anything serious that comes from there.

Maybe the greatest part to all of this is the outcry on Twitter. Tweeted by @toojiggy, “Rob Lowe’s peeps also say they know who kidnapped the Lindbergh baby, who the 2nd gunman on the grassy knoll was & who shot Pac. #thisjustin.” That is just one of the many jokes that have been thrown around this afternoon.

I’m sure with Lowe trending on Twitter at the moment, this is only going to pick up steam. If you aren’t paying attention on Twitter right now, you may want to. You are missing comedic gold.
