Robert Swift was in the news two weeks ago for the first time in several years after it was reported that he was refusing to leave his foreclosed home that had been purchased by another couple.
The former Seattle SuperSonics draft bust finally exited the Sammamish (Wash.) home, but he left behind quite the mess.
The new couple that purchased the home got a news camera crew from KOMO to document the mess left by Swift at the mansion. They found trash all over the place — both inside and outside the home. There were bottles, pizza boxes, and cans all over the inside. The patio deck was covered in animal feces, the report states. There were holes in the walls, and there were weapons and shell casings from bullets all over the home.
Swift even left behind a box of recruitment letters from several prominent colleges. The former 7-foot-1 high school center from Bakersfield, Calif., went straight from high school to the NBA and was drafted No. 12 overall in 2004 by Seattle.
Swift, 27, played parts of three seasons for the Sonics and dealt with two knee injuries. He last played in the NBA in the 2008-2009 season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. After a two-game stint in the NBA D-League, Swift played in Japan for a season.
Below you can see the mess including the trash, feces, and shell casings found in the home:
