According to a source close to Enrique Rojas of ESPNDeportes.com, the Colorado Rockies and Rafael Betancourt have agreed to a two-year deal. The deal will include a mutual option for 2013 says the source.
Betancourt was set to earn $3.77 million in 2011 and he will earn $4 million in 2012. The 2013 mutual option is for $4.25 million with a $250,000 buyout.
The 35-year old was 5-1 with a 3.61 ERA in 72 games with the Rockies in 2010.
