You should never jump to conclusions about the context of something that happens in 20 seconds. We aren’t sure what was said before or immediately after the hug, besides Ronaiah saying he is going to send something to somebody.
All we can decipher is that it appears Manti and Ronaiah know each a little better than what Manti has led the public to believe.
We now know that the person Manti was talking to for all those months was Ronaiah allegedly pretending he was a female. The overall story has way too many holes to just come to one conclusion and we may never know the full truth.
The only factual thing we know is that Te’o lied, just how big of a lie depends on how deep he is in that rabbit hole.
