The Florida State added to their already strong signing day haul on Wednesday afternoon when 4-star cornerback Ronald Darby (Oxon Hill, MD) announced he would become the 19th commitment in the Seminoles' 2012 recruiting class. The Potomac High School speedster is not only a star football player, but competes at a national level in track as well. Darby won the Gatorade State Track & Field Athlete of the Year and won a gold medal on Team USA's medley team at the World Youth Championships last July. The biggest reason Darby chose Florida State is his desire to play football and run track for the Seminoles. "They have everything worked out," Darby said. "They are known for having two sport athletes like (current Florida State commit) Jameis Winston." Seminoles start slow, bury Jackets late

Florida State got caught sleepwalking through the first half and actually trailed an awful Georgia Tech team at intermission, but the 'Noles turned it on in the second 20 minutes and earned another win.

No. 21 Florida State wins sixth straight (AP)

Michael Snaer scored 21 points and Bernard James added 13 on Wednesday night as No. 21 Florida State rallied in the second half to defeat Georgia Tech 68-54 for its sixth straight win. The victory gives Florida State (15-6, 6-1 Atlantic Coast Conference ) its best start in league play since joining the ACC for the 1991-92 season and it keeps the Seminoles tied with North Carolina for first place.
