Oakland Raiders rookie LB Sio Moore has been the talk of the offseason and now in training camp. While a lot of attention has been paid to first round pick D.J. Hayden and his health issues, Moore has caught the eyes of the coaching staff. Moore was selected by the Raiders in the third round, with the 66th overall pick, of the 2013 NFL Draft. During his college career he totaled 274 tackles, 16 sacks and four interceptions. Following his senior season in 2012, he was a first-team All-Big East Conference selection, and was invited to play in the Senior Bowl. Coach Dennis Allen and his staff coached in that game and got an up close look at the linebacker and liked what they saw. He says he’s ready to go and that he’s hungry to do the best he can. "That's exactly what this team is. It's hungry, and we're willing to work, and that's me," Moore said, via Jerry McDonald of the Contra Costa Times. "They've given us some really good speeches as we go into team meetings," Moore said. "Some of the stuff raises the hair on your skin because you can see that passion. Dedication just oozes out of those guys. ... You want to look back and say you had a storybook career like one of those guys." "I looked at it, and the NFL shield was on it. I'm like, man, I've always looked at this stuff as a little kid, and now I'm here at practice," Moore said. "It's kind of surreal, but you don't have time for surreal moments and wide eyes. You sit there with your jaw dropped and someone's going to end up running past you." "But I've been impressed with the way he's gone about his business. He's going to be a good player for us," Raiders coach Dennis Allen said.
