The Saints Nation:
New Orleans Saints
I have to admit that it gets a little old scouting other teams when no matter who the opponent is the result is getting gashed 500+ yards regardless. Maybe this game at home on Monday Night could be the exception? At least Michael Vick has been struggling mightily with turnovers... but the flipside is the Saints' defense is just what the doctor ordered for an overhyped quarterback having a miserable year. Here is how the Eagles stack up against the Saints.
Michael Vick is playing badly enough that Andy Reid considered reportedly considered replacing him before this game, but he will indeed start. Despite racking up enough yards to be 13th overall on offense, the Eagles have struggled to punch drives into the end zone. They rank 28th overall in points scored. Turnovers have a lot to do with that. Vick has a 59% completion percentage, 8 interceptions and a lowly 78.6 passer rating. Vick is the one primarily responsible for the offense's poor play because the...

Pointing to the increasing levels of drama and dysfunction on the Philadelphia Eagles team, there have been more meetings than usual at the NovaCare these days. This week saw the first players-only meeting of the season as well as an unusually long meeting between Andy Reid and Mike Vick a few days following the quarterback’s comments acknowledging the possibility of being benched...
“Michael Vick was our quarterback, is our quarterback, and will be our quarterback.” Those were the words of Eagles coach Andy Reid Thursday as he addressed the media for the first time this week. Vick, who has been severely criticized over the past few weeks, called a player-only meeting at the Nova-Care complex today. It is unknown what was said in this meeting, but I’m...
Michael Vick will be the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles when they hit the road for a Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints in a must win game for both teams. But it may turn out to be more than a must win game, as it may also be a must win performance from Vick if he plans to keep his starting quarterback job past this game.
If the Eagles lose...
Michael Vick told reporters that he plans on getting “back to being the old Michael Vick.“
“I’ve got to play the game and leave it all out on the field and play aggressive and shoot it and run the ball when I feel there is a need to,” said Vick, via Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly. “If I get a seam, get a crack, take it. Just do what I’ve been born to do, blessed to do...
Michael Vick is pointing a finger at the media for the Philadelphia Eagles’ woes throughout the 2012 NFL season. The Eagles are a disappointing 3-4 this season because of the media. It has nothing to do with the poor play calling of Andy Reid. It has nothing to do with all of Vick’s interceptions and fumbles and poor decisions. It has nothing to do with an overrated defense....
The dynamic quarterback is still a new and rare breed in the NFL. Most players with that type of athleticism gravitate toward receiver or running back rather than under center, but any defensive coordinator can tell you how much havoc they create on a defensive game plan.It is undeniable, however, that a quarterback who relies as much on his legs as much as his arm has had limited...
Michael Vick and Drew Brees came into the NFL the same year.
Now, they're in the same predicament.
Both are the quarterbacks of increasingly desperate teams, the season teetering on the edge of collapse.
Brees has essentially become a one-man show for the New Orleans Saints (2-5), who are plagued by a historically leaky defense and anemic running game.
For Vick, the stakes...
Through eight weeks, our Position vs. Fantasy Defensive Points Allowed is an increasingly strong tool to help you find good matchups.
As always, please remember that the players listed are mostly meant to be borderline guys, who need reasons for you to play or bench them. You won't see recommendations to start Calvin Johnson and Drew Brees, because you should always start Calvin...
A big congrats to JamesMorse for winning this week by picking correctly on the winner (Broncos, which makes me sick), and three of the four categories correctly. JamesMorse now joins AllisonSmith atop the leaderboard with one victory for the season. Nice work James, you're the Saints Nation Guru this week.
This week the Saints take on the Eagles on Monday Night. Here'...
Is this Eagles team good enough to win a championship? Are Michael Vick and Andy Reid good enough to be considered a potential Super Bowl-winning coach and quarterback?
We've all thought and talked about these types of things for a while now. The ultimate goal of every NFL team is to win the Super Bowl. Numerous things usually have to fall in place for a team to succeed...
As many fantasy owners have come to accept, 2012 has not been the year to own Philadelphia Eagles players on your team. Players like Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy have not lived up to their high draft spots while players like DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin have not provided the upside potential many owners hoped for. But that may change for at least this week, as the Eagles are...
Philadelphia Eagles (3-4) vs. New Orleans Saints (2-5)
Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana
One of the biggest games of the weekend will take place under the lights of Monday Night Football as two struggling teams look to right the ship and get their seasons back on track.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, who has struggled with turnovers during the 2012 season...
