Puck Drunk Love:
Want season tickets for the Florida Panthers? Want them cheap? How about extremely, extremely cheap? You're in luck. The Panthers announced during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals that they are offering a ridiculously good deal for 500 season ticket packages.
You can buy season tickets for the Panthers for just $7 a game. This package includes tickets to 44 games as well as tickets to four concerts which will include a mix of music and comedy acts. You'll also get free parking. Oh, and a free jersey. That's it, but isn't that enough?
Excluding the free concerts, parking and jersey, the deal boils down to roughly $300 for 44 games. Now that's a deal that will make plenty of fans from around the NHL jealous.
It's really no surprise the Panthers are pulling out all the stops to attract fans considering they finished last in the NHL with just 36 points in 48 games this past season. Despite the team's record, fans still showed up in decent num...

At the end of Shawshank Redemption, Andy Dufresne crawls through a sewage pipe and finds his freedom outside of jail. That’s the best analogy for the Florida Panthers in 2013. Crawling through 48 games worth of ****-smelling foulness and the light at the end of the tunnel was the off-season.
Team Name: Florida Panthers
Record: 15-27-6, 5th in Southeast, No Playoffs

The Florida Panthers acquired right wing Bobby Butler from the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenseman TJ Brennan.
Due to become a restricted free agent in July, Butler split last season between Nashville and the New Jersey Devils. He posted four goals and 11 points in 34 contests.
In 128 career games, the 26-year-old Butler has amassed 20 goals and 28 assists with Nashville...
Assuming the defense-needing Avs take phenom Seth Jones with the #1 pick in the upcoming NHL Draft, it is likely Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon will take future #1 center Nathan MacKinnon at #2.
The ripple effect throughout the Panthers roster will be interesting to watch, as suddenly a team that was very weak up the middle for many years is now boasting quality talent.
The Nashville Predators have acquired defenseman T.J. Brennan from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forward Bobby Butler.
Brennan, 24, split the 2012-13 season between the Buffalo and Florida organizations. He had one goal in 10 games with the Sabres, and two goals and seven assists in 19 games with the Panthers. Brennan also had 14 goals and 21 assists in 36 games with Rochester...

Per TSN’s Bob McKenzie, the Nashville Predators have traded forward Bobby Butler to the Florida Panthers for defenseman T.J. Brennan.
Both players are set to become restricted free agents on July 5.
At first glance, this may seem like a lateral move but look a little closer. Brennan has contributed offensively the last couple seasons. At the AHL-level last year...
