Seattle plans for a new basketball arena, eyes Sacramento Kings

Seattle officials have been in talks for eight months on plans to build a new arena, and they have an eye on the Sacramento Kings, according to news reports this weekend in Seattle. This photo taken from the Kerry Park Viewpoint in Queen Anne shows the Seattle skyline with the Space Needle at left and Key Arena where the Sonics played below at right with the stadium for the Seattle Seahawks football and another stadium for the Seattle Mariner's baseball behind Key Arena at right. The Seattle Sonics basketball team based in Seattle, Washington played in the NBA from 1967 until 2008.
