SEC Network Pushing Clemson and FSU to the Big 12?

The following is exerpted from EERinsider. It was written by our old friend Honus "The Dude" Sneed (aka theDude_of_WV). If Clemson and FSU move to the Big 12 it will be because of the SEC Network. The planned SEC network will push the SEC to expand to 16 and the primary targets for expansion are Virginia Tech and North Carolina State. The SEC wants Virginia Tech and NCST to expand the SEC footprint into new territory, add television sets (and subscribers), and increase revenue for their fledging network. And we all know that revenue is just a fancy word for money. Money that the SEC gets for each potential subscriber in the vast television markets allotted to Virginia Tech and North Carolina State. The SEC Network payoff for conference members could be as high as $40 million (or more) per team. Those who think that ties between Virginia Tech and UVA and those between UNC and NCST precludes any move to the SEC best think again considering the money involved. Clemso...
