The SEC’s schedule is out for next season, and there are changes to Florida’s routine.
The new twists are a home game against Missouri and a trip to Texas A&M.
The Gators still begin SEC play the third week of September against Tennessee. This year’s game will be in Knoxville.
Florida will face Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri and LSU at home. The conference road games are Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M. The annual match-up with Georgia in Jacksonville will count as one of the Gators’ SEC road games this year.
Had the SEC not expanded and had it stuck with the previous scheduling rotation, the Gators’ SEC West games would have been home against LSU, home against Auburn and at Ole Miss.
The Sept. 8 trip to Texas A&M means the Gators had to move a home game against Louisiana-Lafayette that was scheduled for that date. ULL now will come to Gainesville on Nov. 10 instead.
Here is the full 2012 schedule, with kickoff times to be announced later:

AROUND THE WEB
On Wednesday, the Florida Gators’ 2012 football schedule was released to anticipation not experienced in quite some time. That anticipation had as much to do with the Gators as it did with the new (and improved?) 14-team SEC. We knew Florida would be facing the Texas A&M Aggies and Missouri Tigers, but we weren’t entirely sure when and how those games would impact the rest...
GAINESVILLE, Fla. From the moment the league's school presidents voted Texas A&M into the Southeastern Conference in September, college football fans and media have wondered how that will alter what is already considered the nation's toughest football conference.
More questions arose when Missouri was voted into the conference in early November, increasing the SEC from...
When the names “Ohio State” and “Florida” are included in the same bowl game, the stakes are usually quite large. This year, that is not so much the case as the 6-6 Buckeyes take on the 6-6 Gators in the Gator Bowl on Monday, January 2nd.

The official schedule hasn’t been released (or maybe it has depending on when you’re reading this), but one thing is apparent – the Florida Gators will meet both the Texas A&M Aggies and Missouri Tigers on the gridiron in 2012. Florida will travel to Texas A&M and host Missouri in September, welcoming the SEC’s newest members to the conference early in the schedule...
The story of the 1969 season actually starts with the 1968 season, which wasn't a great one for Florida football. The Gators beat Florida State and Miami, but lost to both Auburn and Georgia, the latter a 51-0 embarrassment on the way to finishing 6-3-1 and without a bowl berth.
Throughout that '68 season, however, UF coach Ray Graves knew he had some players on the roster...
The Gators are hard at work on the practice field in Jacksonville as they prepare to face Ohio State in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl. The last time the Gators had a losing season was 1979, and at 6-6 the Gators’ streak is on the line. The guys on Florida’s defense will definitely have their work cut out for them, especially when it comes to facing Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller.

UF faces both of SEC's newest schools in Missouri and Texas A&MJACKSONVILLE – The SEC has slated Florida as the official welcoming party for one of the conference's newest members. The Gators travel to Texas A&M on Sept. 8 in the first conference game for the Aggies.
A reporter from Ohio asked Omar Hunter after practice Wednesday afternoon about former Gators strength-and-conditioning coach Mickey Marotti, who recently left for Ohio State, Florida's opponent in Monday's Gator Bowl.
Hunter complimented Marotti and thanked him for helping him develop as a college football player. He shared a couple of stories about last summer's grueling...
The lack of playmakers on the Florida offense this season was made more difficult by an underperforming the offensive line. The Gators struggled to find consistency in the trenches to produce any run or pass game. With all of the issues on the offensive line this season, Florida interim offensive coordinator Brian White has been encouraged with how they looked early in bowl practices.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Christmas break is officially over for the Gators.
The Gators arrived here earlier today to begin preparation for the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl on Jan. 2 against Ohio State.
Florida's coaching staff has had some changes as well, with a former Wisconsin assistant getting ready to lead the offense against Ohio State.
Meyer, who coached Florida to two national titles before stepping down, will be the Buckeyes' coach next season. More links to Ohio State stories.
