TUCSON, Ariz. -- Seton Hall secured a pair of Sunday victories and swept the Arizona baseball team in a three-game series at Hi Corbett Field. The Pirates won the resumption of Saturdayâs suspended game, 4-2, before cruising to an 11-2 victory Sunday afternoon to complete the sweep.
Seton Hall improved to 7-2 on the season with the three weekend victories and became the first non-conference opponent to sweep Arizona Hi Corbett Field since the Wildcats moved into the ballpark in 2012.
Arizona fell to 6-5 on the season and was swept by a non-conference opponent at home for the first time since dropping three contests against Georgia in 2009, when the school hosted games on campus at Jerry Kindall Field at Frank Sancet Stadium.
