John Cohen the Head Coach of Mississippi State Baseball shares his insights with SF Giants Rumors about the San Francisco Giants #1 draft pick Chris Stratton. Last summer Stratton pitched for Harwich in the Cape Code League. Stratton went 1-1 with a 2.18 ERA in six games. This is where he started to attract the attention of the Giants scouts.“I think last summer in the Cape, he really became the pitcher that we thought he was going to become. I think he’s somebody that’s going to have a great professional career,” says Cohen. With Stratton being the Giants number 1 pick, and also being a pitcher. I wanted to ask Cohen about Stratton’s work ethic, because the Giants are a team that’s now known for having some elite homegrown pitching talent.“His work ethic is unbelievable, he was a tremendous leader for us. The Curse of Ryan Vogelsgong

I'm still conflicted on this whole Ryan Vogelsong thing. Lefty vs. Lefty in the first game of this series. Also a battle of two guys who had a ton of promise but never quite lived up to the potential. The Pirates lost the first series two games to one. Time to get some revenge. What an outing by Jeff Karstens last night.  Just unreal. [...]
