The Olympics have come under attack lately because of China's involvement in suppressing Tibet's protests against China's rule over their country. I don't know a ton of details on the story, except for the fact that China's dealings of these protests have caused subsequent protests from human rights activists. China taking extreme measures when it comes to ending protests? That's nothing new. This is not so much a question of what China is doing in Tibet, it is more of a question if we should be boycotting the Olympics.President Bush holds the position that the Olympic games "should be about the athletes and not necessarily about politics."
