The Andrew Bynum saga recently left off with a so-called “setback” suffered by Bynum in his recovery from a bone bruise in his right knee.  It was reported that the 25-year-old center was suddenly experiencing problems with his left knee, but no details were given in regards to how this mysterious “setback” occurred.  Just moments ago, ESPN came out with a new report that shed some light on the situation.  Apparently, the Sixers suspect that Bynum did further damage to both his knees by bowling.  Yes, bowling. The Philadelphia 76ers fear All-Star center Andrew Bynum might have done additional damage to his knees while bowling, according to sources close to the situation. Multiple sources told ESPN on Saturday that Bynum suffered an unspecified injury this month while bowling. On Friday, Bynum revealed that — on top of the issues with his right knee that could keep him sidelined until January — he also had suffered a “setback” with his left knee. Exactly how one manages to hurt himself while bowling… I have absolutely no idea.  If Andrew Bynum is in such poor condition that he can’t even bowl — and it certainly seems that he can’t — how far does he have to go before he can play NBA basketball?  I’m no doctor, but a bowling injury makes this dude out to be Greg Oden fragile.  It also conveys him as the immature knucklehead who doesn’t take his basketball career as seriously as he should. In a contract year, Andrew Bynum is waving all of his old red flags.  Philly will probably give him big bucks no matter what happens because he’s tall and talented and they traded an “All-Star” to bring him to town… but still.  I struggle to comprehend his apparent carelessness.  And his hairstyles.
