Sixers exercise option on Young and Hawes

As expected, the Sixers exercised qualifying offers to hybrid forward Thaddeus Young and big man Spencer Hawes. Both players are restricted free agents. The Sixers will now have a right to match any offer that either player may receive in free agency. The Sixers have the right of first refusal which allows them to consider matching a deal that other team may off their player. Both players contributed to the Sixers success of last season. Thaddeus Young may draw interest from other teams and could possibly see an offer from another team. The Sixers will have to decide if the price tag for Thaddeus Young services is at the value that want to pay.
