Man, are the Washington Nationals on a good news run or what? One day after receiving some walkoff magic from Austin Kearns, the Nats added to their good vibes when Josh Willingham hit two grand slams during Washington's 14-6 win over the Brewers. Cue the Onyx! Talk about making the right kind of history. After hitting the two blasts in the sixth and seventh innings, Willingham became only the third player in National League history to hit two grand slams in the same game. The other two NL players to do so were ex-Cardinal third baseman Fernando Tatis, who hit two grannies off the same pitcher (Chan Ho Park) in the same inning in 1999 and Tony Cloninger, a Braves pitcher, who did it in 1966. (In a strange coincidence, Tatis also hit a grand slam Monday in New York.)But, yeah, we're talking about the rarest of the rare when it comes to MLB occurrences.
