Brace yourself old people (yea, I'm looking your way Catamount fans), there could be some sleepless nights coming. The ugly truth may come very shortly. You can't say you didn't see it coming, can you? Jim Larranaga bolts George Mason for Miami. Then you have Nero bolt the AE for George Washington. Today, we may have the icing on the cake...Nero fires Karl Hobbs as coach of the men's basketball team at George Washington. Start the Twitter, Facebook and letter writing campaigns Burlington. It is pretty clear who may not be in Burlington for much longer.
The Burlington Free Press can see the writing on the wall (as does the Washington Post). Travel over to the AE Message Board. Most can see it also. Am I certain Lonergan is all but done in Vermont? No, not even close. However, with two coaching positions open in conferences which are considered above the AE and seem to look at the AE for coaches, if I was a betting man, I would give it 12-1 odds (just a random guess). The man has coached in the area, he has won titles in the area and he clearly has connections in the area. O yeah, the man grew up in the area.
