Rants: Johnny (Football ) Manziel: Maybe the NCAA couldn’t find anything on him but his behavior since has you wondering what’s up with this guy. Is he that immature? Even on the field he is showing his immatuirty. Is this a case of too much too soon? After all if he is like this now if he stays in college two more years what will he be like then?
Rants: Rex Ryan his handling of the quarterback situation and then finally when he had no other choice but too name a starter makes you wonder what is going with Ryan. Naming Geno Smith should not have been that much of a no brainer for Ryan and to keep it close to the vest like that makes Jet fans go back to the days of Eric Mangini when he would not give answers or details about a player injury. Now is not the time to have a meltdown in the media.
Rants:Ryan Braun: The fallout from his suspension for his steroid use continues. According to a published report A restaurant group is ending its ties with suspended Brewers slugger Ryan Braun...

The last several months, Rex Ryan has taken a lot of crap from media and the fans. Rightfully so. You cannot flap your gums as much as Rex did in his first few years, bragging and boasting your way to two AFC Title game appearances, and then not have to also answer for the failures of your football team, especially when you then decide to zip your lip. He is the captain of the ship...
I’m willing to cut Rex Ryan at least a little bit of slack this year. After all, he’s being put into a situation that few head coaches could succeed with.
The Jets’ current problems are many. They’re without offensive weapons, their team has become a lightning rod for negative attention, but biggest of all is the Jets’ lack of a starting quarterback. Geno Smith will...
Call me cynical, but after all I am a New York Jets fan. Could Geno Smith just have been a ploy to boost jersey sales and interest in the New York Jets? As if Rex Ryan’s antics weren’t enough between doing an about face to the media and making a charade out of the quarterback “competition”, my gut is telling me yes.
How can one surmise this you ask? Look no further than...
Rex Ryan has taken some brutal criticism from the New York media for taking the day off on Saturday to attend his son’s game at Clemson amid cuts to get the Jets roster down to 53.
One person not criticizing Rex is his boss, Woody Johnson.
Johnson told the New York Daily News that he had no problem with Rex traveling to South Carolina to watch his son play.

Even at the Dunkin' Donuts in 125th and Lenox, it's hard out here for a Jets fan. pic.twitter.com/ylexU56bHm — Jason Clinkscales (@asportsscribe) September 5, 2013 Boy, that’s a lot of donuts in that there post title. It’s been one helluva 14 or so days for Rex Ryan, but today just got a little better for the foot fetish fiend.…
In December 2009, New York Jets football coach Rex Ryan submitted a movie treatment, “Coach vs. Aliens: First & Death” to Universal Studios, which was rejected. Now, for the first time, is a copy of that treatment.

Geno Smith may be the Jets starting quarterback against Darrelle Revis and the Bucs but there is no guarantee he’ll be starting anything beyond that. The Jets unleashed their triple threat Wednesday -- Rex Ryan GM John Idzik and owner Woody Johnson -- and from every angle they made it clear that the competition is continuing into the regular season.
“We’ll always put the best...

With the glass half full, the New York Jets are led by a competent Head Coach who is nearly guaranteed to produce one of the league’s better defenses. There is head turning talent on the defensive line, supported by one of the league’s top corners. Offensively, there is nowhere to go but up from last season, when the team managed 6 wins despite horrifically incompetent work from...
