Soccer player nearly loses his hand after tossing grenade off field

Holy crap. The video below shows an Iranian soccer player bending down to pick up and clear an object thrown on the field by a spectator. The player nonchalantly tosses the object out of play and justs seconds later it explodes in a fire heap of shrapnel. That object? A GRENADE. The game was reportedly called off and police have started investigating the case, but that player is extremely lucky he didn’t pick it up a second later…he would have completely lost his hand. PS- Maybe Hollywood movies and Call Of Duty have given me the wrong idea, but (luckily) that appeared to be a pretty weak grenade in terms of blast radius. [Sportsgrid]
