Three reasons Nebraska will win
1. Pelini vs. Gabbert: Mizzou sophomore QB Blaine Gabbert hasn't faced a defense with potential All-Americans and first-round picks sprinkled throughout. Moreover, he hasn't faced experienced defensive minds with the reputations of Nebraska coach Bo Pelini and his brother, defensive coordinator Carl. The Huskers, it seems, like their chance of slowing down Gabbert.
"He has all the tools," Bo Pelini said of Gabbert this week. "He just hasn't had a lot of experience."
Gabbert has thrown exceptionally well in his four starts: 66 percent completions, 11 touchdowns against no interceptions. But the Cornhuskers' defense might be more talented than an all-star team built from his first four opponents.
