While the US Government is shutting down, the NHL is just getting started.  As a St. Louis Blues fan, there are several things to be excited about, but also several question marks surrounding the team. Something to be excited about: The Blues enter the 2013-2014 season with the majority of their pieces from last year’s lockout shortened season in place.  The only real changes for the Blues are at the forward position, with the additions of Derek Roy, Maxim Lapierre, Magnus Paajarvi, Brenden Morrow and the departure of David Perron.  Each player the Blues added brings a different element to the team.  Derek Roy is a veteran that has top 2 line player ability and speed.  Brenden Morrow is a former captain of the Dallas Stars and adds leadership and toughness to this already “heavy” team. Maxim Lapierre is another player that adds some grit, but has a bit of finesse in his game and can score in tight.  Finally, Magnus Paajarvi adds more size with some skill, but should be relied on as ...
