Staal Tactics:
I had a good vibe going all day about this game and it looks like those feelings were bang on. The Pens had to win this game if they were to have any chance at the Cup. They had to. And they did. Once again led bt Evgeni Malkin who is by far the best player in this series, Pittsburgh held serve with a 4-2.Malkin and Darren Helm both scored in the first to make it 1-1 at intermission and the first ten minutes of the second looked a lot like the previous game. The Wings were dominating possession and the Pens were reeling as Brad Stuart scored less than a minute in. Back to back powerplay chances for Detroit had me worried until Jordan Staal scored the biggest goal of his young career. What a time to get on the score sheet! The rest of the second was a Pittsburgh bloodbath as Sidney Crosby buried a great feed from Geno to make it 3-2. Four minutes later Tyler Kennedy capitalized on an amazing pass from the kid. 4-2.I'm sorry but is that a fan dressed as an official? Can we call that...
