Earthquakes stadium hopes boosted as San Jose city planning directors OK development permit
The San Jose Earthquakes took an important step Wednesday toward building a $60-million soccer stadium when city planning directors approved a development permit needed to start construction.
“We’re closer than we’ve ever been,” team president Dave Kaval said.
The permit will become valid after 10 days if the city’s decision isn’t appealed.
