The Big Lead:
Florida Gators: Kevin Nelson, an elite high school linebacker, lives in Gainesville, but decided to attend Miami. (He’s so good, he’ll wear Ray Lewis’ No. 52 at the U.) “A UM oral commitment at the time, Nelson said UF coaches allowed other recruits, but not him, inside their locker room after a 2009 game, even though star linebacker Brandon Spikes invited him. ‘Grimy, two-faced and disrespectful,’ Nelson said of Gators coaches. He said Gators defensive coaches told him, ‘Miami hasn’t won any ACC championship since going to the ACC, and that Randy Shannon is going to leave after this year, and that I might not get any playing time.’” [Miami Herald]
