Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin knows 2013 is in a crucial year for the team. There are as many unknowns as at any time in the recent past. General manager Kevin Colbert had to make some hard decision concerning personnel in order to get their salary cap situation under control. The two are now heading into training camp trying to reshape the team and have them ready for September. An 8-8 record in 2012 has experts opinions split on where the Steelers are heading, some say it's keeping a championship team together for so long without developing young talent could come back to bite them. However, could last season be an aberration and just a hiccup for a team that has shown its ability to compete for playoffs and Super Bowls year in and out. Either case, Tomlin says the team had a good offseason, but he knows the team will be closely watched for here on in. "Legitimately, you'd like to find ways to measure offseasons and feel good about it," Tomlin said, via Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. "But the reality is these types of processes are measured based on results. So, our offseason, our training camp and our preseason ultimately will be measured on how we perform. I think it's important that the guys understand that."
