Stephen Appiah A group of ex-players led by former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah will arrive in Kumasi on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Sudan. The seven former national team players will travel from Accra to join their counterparts in Kumasi to give pep talks to the Black Stars before Sunday’s crucial match The iconic Ghanaian figure, who captained the team to two successive World Cups in 2006 and 2010, will be in the company of six other ex-stars to visit the players and boost their confidence ahead of the big game at the Baba Yara stadium. CK Akunnor, Willie Klutse, Reverend Osei Kofi, Sammy Kuffuor and Awuley Quaye will travel from Accra to Kumasi to support the national team. They will be joined in Kumasi by the likes of Abdul Razak, Opoku Nti, Sarfo Gyamfi and and others to boost the Black Stars during and before the game.
