Back in 2007, when Marco Anskis called me on the phone (unheard of for a blogger!!!) and asked me to be a part of his new college hoops blog, I never imagined it would end up here. Based largely on the exposure this site has brought, I have found work with Maple Street Press, ESPN, and now CBS.com.

I've been invited to join Matt Norlander of College Hoops Journal, Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio, and a fourth blogger to be named later. Our job is to cover college hoops from America East to West Coast Conference, or, as Mr. Norlander put it when he kicked the blog off today:

"What's the mission statement? Uh, how about we make college basketball as fun as humanly possible for you? That sound like a deal? We'll lean on the players and coaches from time to time in order to deliver on that promise, but know we've now got the manpower to make good on our goals."

We'll be working with Gary Parrish, Jerry Palm, and, hopefully, some of the other CBS personalities we all enjoy so much. And then there's the fact that the tournament is on our sister network - score.

We'll keep doing silly stuff like Reverse Survivor and God Shammgod here at STF, but in the meantime, make sure you drop by and support Matt Norlander as he does the Lone Ranger thing this week. I'll join in on Saturday to spread some Christmas cheer, and Mr. Jones will be along on Monday. It's going to be great.
