A streaker ran onto the field during the third quarter of Thursday’s preseason matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions. Even though the gentleman actually dropped trou, the best part has to be at the very end when he gets demolished by a security guard.

Streaker interrupts Browns-Lions game, gets lit up for his efforts (video)

An actual, real-life streaker — not the so-called “streakers” who run on to sports fields fully clothed — bared a lot of skin (perhaps too much) as he interrupted the Detroit Lions-Cleveland Browns preseason game during the third quarter on Thursday night. Reports out of Cleveland indicate that Lions running back Joique Bell tried to […]The post Streaker interrupts Browns...

Lewis cites 'personal issues' for rough rookie season

Ronnell Lewis came to Detroit as a fourth-round pick with a cool nickname - "The Hammer" - and a reputation as a special-teams star in college at Oklahoma. A year later, he's trying to hang on to a job and prove he's really not a wasted draft pick and a total flop. "Coming in, I didn't really know what to expect," Lewis said. "Now that I do...

Things to watch in Pre-Season Game 2: The Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions suit up against the Cleveland Browns this week and there is a short list of things to watch for in this game. Much of this will be further rehashing of what has been watched the entire off-season but now with one game down, coach Jim Schwartz has in-depth insight into how exactly his players are doing. Jason Fox started at right tackle, and Dylan Gandy started...

Bruised knee sidelines Megatron

Detroit Lions star receiver Calvin Johnson will miss Thursday nights preseason game at Cleveland because of a bruised knee. The injury is not believed to be serious. The decision to sit Johnson was for precautionary reasons. Patrick Edwards, an undrafted player last year out of the University of Houston, is expected to start in Johnsons place. EXTRA POINT Bill Ford Jr., the Lions...

Rookie LB Barkevious Mingo will be released from hospital on Friday, will miss approximately a week

Apparently, a bruised lung sounds worse than it actual is as Cleveland Browns rookie LB  Barkevious Mingo will be released on Friday from the hospital. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Mingo spent the night after being injured against the Detroit Lions on Thursday night.

Lions' Calvin Johnson sidelined with knee contusion

The Detroit Lions held All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson out of last night's preseason game, as the team said he was dealing with a knee contusion, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. As a result of the contusion, the Lions didn't allow Johnson to dress for their second preseason contest against the Cleveland Browns. While any injury to a player of...

Detroit Lions suffer self-inflicted beat down in Cleveland

Well, first the good news.  In the Detroit Lions’ loss to the Cleveland Browns,  WR Matt Willis looked better than a lot of other players in his three catches out of four tries, and the team came out of the game in good health once again.  Now for the bad news. The Detroit Lions played a deplorable game against Cleveland, with the first team offense laboring like a bunch...

Browns’ Barkevious Mingo suffers bruised lung

The Browns’ medical and training staff will be earning their pay this week.  The Browns beat the Lions last night.  However, when is a win in the NFL actually a devastating loss?  When a team suffers enough injures to fill its own hospital wing.  A bruising blow to the Browns’ defense came last night when Cleveland Browns rookie linebacker, Barkevious Mingo, suffered a bruised...

Weeden leads Browns past Lions

Brandon Weeden strengthened his case to start. All Browns coach Rob Chudzinski needs to do is make it official. Weeden threw two touchdown passes to Jordan Cameron and perhaps ended any more discussion about a quarterback competition in Cleveland, leading the Browns to a 24-6 win over the Detroit Lions on Thursday night. Weeden connected on TD passes of 10 and 5 yards to Cameron...

2013 Fantasy Football Minute: AFC North Breakout Player

My 2013 fantasy football breakout star coming out of the AFC North is Browns' tight end Jordan Cameron. Other nominees considered were Steelers' rookie running back Le'Veon Bell, Browns' wide receiver Josh Gordon and Bengals' tight end Tyler Eifert. It's worth noting that the video above was recorded, edited and published before Jordan Cameron hauled in two...

Browns 24, Lions 6

Video: Steve Mariucci drops F-bomb on live TV while asking who Jordan Cameron is

NFL Network analyst and former coach Steve Mariucci drops f-bomb on live TV trying to figure out who Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Cameron is.

First Down, Fourth Down: Lions Struggle Against Browns

It was another unimpressive outing for the Detroit Lions in the preseason, falling to the Cleveland Browns 24-6 in a sloppy performance. First Down: Reggie Bush Bush was brought into the Lions organization as a replacement for Jahvid Best and potential game changer. While he didn’t change the game last night, he was the only serviceable part of the offense. Carrying the ball eight...
